Greetings and Welcome to the Team!

With wins on and off the field, the 2009 Help Tackle Hunger Food Drive is done, but our mission is far from over. Thank you to our game day volunteers, and all those who gave food and monetary donations to the MSU Student Food Bank and Greater Lansing Food Bank. This year, we received 2,000 pounds of food and more than $500 in monetary donations. Your generous donations will be distributed to individuals and families in need throughout the greater-Lansing community.

MSU encourages you to continue to remember those less fortunate and continue to donate to your local food bank.

The MSU Student Food Bank provides supplemental food and other necessities for students and their families who are in need of this type of support. The MSU Student Food Bank is the only known food bank in the nation that is run by students, for students and operates on charitable donations received from community members and organizations.

The Greater Lansing Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency food to individuals and families in need. Food is distributed through an extensive network of food pantries and community kitchens located throughout the greater Lansing area. The Food Bank annually serves tens of thousands of people, many of them seniors and children. Our recipients also include the “working poor,” those individuals who are employed but don’t earn enough to make ends meet.
