2013 Help Tackle Hunger Food Drive Increases Donations for Third Consecutive Year

The seventh annual Help Tackle Hunger Food Drive concluded Saturday, Nov. 30, with Spartan fans contributing a generous amount of food and monetary donations to the MSU Student Food Bank. The Division of Residential and Hospitality Services, along with MSU’s Intercollegiate Athletics, would like to thank all Spartan family members who participated in this year’s campaign for their tremendous support. The drive brought in more than 2,100 pounds of food and more than $1,500 in cash donations during the two-week period.

The MSU Student Food Bank would like to thank the community for their donations, as your thoughtful gifts will touch the lives of many students who otherwise would go without. Deepest thanks are also extended to those responsible for collections both on and off campus. The support from the community and sponsors has been truly overwhelming.

Even though the 2013 Help Tackle Hunger Food Drive has officially ended, we want to encourage everyone who can to continue to give to the MSU Student Food Bank. They remain the sole food bank on campus, run by students, for students. Any donation is more than appreciated and will provide a lifeline of support to those in need.

To continue supporting the MSU Student Food Bank, visit www.msu.edu/~foodbank/ or call 517-432-5136.

Thank you!
