A Food Drive "Thanks4Giving"
Co-sponsors Residential and Hospitality Services and Intercollegiate Athletics wish to thank all who made the fifth annual Help Tackle Hunger food drive a success. Spartans on and off campus combined to go a long way in generously restoring and re-stocking food bank shelves for those of our community in need.
Approximately 3,400 pounds of non-perishable food and personal care items and $800 in monetary gifts were collected at locations across campus and at MSU Federal Credit Union branches throughout the greater-Lansing area.
"There is much to be proud of with this year’s efforts as RHS, Athletics and so many MSU partners came together to provide goods and financial support to those in desperate need," said MSU Culinary Services’ Associate Director of Retail Food Services Bill Kost. Though the Help Tackle Hunger formal campaign is now over for another year, RHS and Athletics encourage RHS team members to continue their support of the MSU Student Food Bank and the Greater Lansing Food Bank as increasing numbers of students and local families face critical food shortages.
A big “Thank You” to all who once again delivered another outstanding Spartan experience!
